Have you ever just wanted to see something fantastical? You have been in a time where you are just living life. Sometimes, it seems mundane because there is not much change in the scenery. That is what it felt like one day when I decided to go on a hike up Mount Figueroa. There wasn’t much to see but I went anyway knowing that there was a possibility that I may see something of what I like to call “fantastical.”

Above is a video of what it first looked like. Pretty barren and the fog had set it. Apart from the birds making noises there was not much of a sign of life around. I was walking for quite awhile and was tempted to turn back when I saw this.

The scenery that had been so bland and mundane began to become one of the most beautiful places.

There they were flowers covered with fresh morning dew in all their glorious splendor.

Imagine if I had turned back sooner. All this beauty would have been missed.

Sometimes life is like that. We are going along year after year, month after month, day after day. Even at times, second after second. We are in a waiting season. Waiting for things to change waiting for the breakthrough to come. Can I encourage you? Don’t give up. Even like this example that I just shared if you keep moving forward you too, will see the beauty break forth. Just take it one moment at a time.
